Wayne Bates — Managing Director

Wayne is the Managing Director and founder of Gold Independent Financial Services, and a CeMAP qualified mortgage adviser with over three decades of experience in the industry.

His journey started back in the 1980s, door knocking to sell insurance, an experience that taught him the value of building genuine relationships with clients. That grounding eventually led him to start his own business right here in Ripley over 30 years ago, and it's where Gold Independent remains today.

Wayne specialises in helping first time buyers navigate what can feel like an overwhelming process, guiding them with the patience and clarity that comes from decades of experience.

Having lived in the local area his whole life, Wayne is proud of the roots Gold Independent has built in the community and is often recognised locally. Outside of work enjoys going out for nice meals at all different types of restruant as there is no food wayne doesnt like!

Tara Casey — Mortgage Advisor & Office Manager

Tara is our Mortgage Advisor and Office Manager, holding a CII Level 3 qualification in mortgage advice. She keeps the team running smoothly while also supporting clients directly through their mortgage journey.

When she's not in the office, Tara loves getting outdoors whether that's walking her two dogs or training for her next half marathon (she's completed two so far!). She also keeps chickens at home which produce the best eggs youll ever try!
